The Park Police Volunteer Association (PPVA) of the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George's County Division, was established in 1996 to have a cadre of volunteers to call upon for assistance with community activities. The PPVA is under the umbrella of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.

Park Police Volunteer Association's mission is to serve the community through active efforts in partnership with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, enhancing the relationship between law enforcement and the community through the provision of support services, community events and educative awareness.
