WHQC Team launches Growth Concept Showcase! 

The West Hyattsville-Queens Chapel (WHQC) Sector Plan team has launched the Growth Concepts Showcase! From NOW until September 24th you can access the Virtual Townhall and provide comments on future growth alternatives for the West Hyattsville-Queens Chapel Sector Plan area. Preliminary Bowie-Mitchellville and Vicinity Master Plan

The Prince George's County Planning Board gave permission to print the Preliminary Bowie-Mitchellville and Vicinity Master Plan for public and agency review on July 29, 2021. A virtual Joint Public Hearing will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.

Upcoming Meetings/Virtual Office Hours

The Prince George’s County Planning Board and the Prince George’s County Council, sitting as the District Council will hold a joint public hearing on the proposed minor amendment to the 2004 Gateway Arts District Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment Table of Permitted Uses to allow “private and public multipurpose art center” uses in the R-18 (Multifamily Medium Density Residential) Zone. 

The Joint Public Hearing for the Gateway Arts District DDOZ Minor Amendment is scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Notifications were sent out to residents and property owners in the planning area on Monday, August 9, 2021. Public comment on this minor amendment can be submitted up until Friday, October 8, 2021, when the comment period will officially close.
