Earth Music Effects’ band members Gardy Hardnett and Karen Marshall are part of a trio that performs collaborative world music with multiple instruments from various cultures. From serene and meditative soundscapes to lively rhythmic grooves, Earth Music Effects has been captivating audiences for over 10 years with their blend of performances and interactive audience participation jams.

Janice Curtis Greene is an award-winning author, master storyteller and historical reenactor, an American Griot. She has been telling African, African American and multicultural stories for over 30 years. In 2022 she was proclaimed the “Official Griot for the State of Maryland.” She delights audiences of all ages, nationally and internationally, with mesmerizing folktales, song, dance, audience participation, and original, personal and Bible stories set to syncopated rap rhythms.
