Don’t Run Out of S.T.E.A.M.!
A Month-long Celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math with the M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation
RIVERDALE, MD – Do you know someone obsessed with drones and robotics? What about creating sculptures with Playdough or building tall towers from blocks? Learn about all these activities and more by joining us for STEAMFest on Saturday, October 27, 2018!
From October 31 to November 30, the Department of Parks and Recreation will celebrate science, technology, engineering, arts, and math by hosting STEAM-related hands-on activities and experiments all across the county!
To kick-off the month-long celebration, the Department is hosting the fourth annual STEAMFest! At this one-day event, you can check out more than 70 STEAM-related activities and demonstrations including: STEAM Escape Room, Grow Your Own Earth Friendly Wardrobe, Tech for Tots, Xtreme Teens section with DJ battles, giveaways, and more, and a special mobile sensory exhibit called “Can Touch This.”
The event also features special demonstrations by WHUR Radio, prizes, giveaways, and exclusive STEAMFest merchandise available for purchase! Food will be available for purchase at the concessions.
