Memorial Weekend Openings Announced by Dept of Parks and Rec, Pr. Geo. County

M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County Announces

Open Amenities for Memorial Day Weekend 2021

Riverdale, MD – The Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, is pleased to announce its available offerings to the community for Memorial Day weekend 2021.

  • Outdoor pools
  • Basketball courts – All hoops are now reinstalled.
  • Waterfront Parks – Bladensburg and Patuxent River
  • Wonderful World of Watkins – Train, Carousel and Mini-golf
  • Dinosaur Park
  • Nature Centers – Watkins, Clearwater and Mount Rainier
  • Museums - Riversdale House, Montpelier House, Marietta House, College Park Aviation, and Darnall's Chance
  • Aquatics/Sports/Fitness Centers - Allentown Splash, Tennis, and Fitness Park, Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex, Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex, Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex, Southern Regional Aquatic Wellness Center, Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex, and the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center
