Trail Closure Notice: WB&A Trail

Please be advised that a section of the WB&A Trail is temporarily closed between the High Bridge Overpass and Loyd Station Road due to downed power lines. For the safety of all trail users, please avoid the area and follow any posted signs or directions. BGE has been notified and is responding to assess the situation.

We will provide updates as additional information becomes available and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

The 5.6-mile WB&A Railroad Trail is located on the site of the former Washington, Baltimore, & Annapolis Railroad. The beautiful, semi-rural corridor provides an ideal site for a recreational trail stretching from the Glenn Dale area of the county to east of Bowie State University. The flat, barrier-free trail is designed to appeal to a wide variety of users.
