Prince George's County is home to Olympic and Professional boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard. We operate one boxing center in the County, the Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing Center. The co-ed facility offers coaching, training, conditioning and boxing shows.

The Department of Parks and Recreation offers many opportunities to learn boxing. Introduce your child to the sport, train like a pro, or improve conditioning.

Instruction

Boxing Center is open for pre-registered workout sessions only effective May 4, 2021. Reserve space at our renovated boxing center to workout or train with a certified coach. Each person arriving at the boxing gym must have a reservation. You may only reserve spaces at the gym for yourself or members of your household. All reservations are final. No rainchecks or refunds will be issued for missed appointments. We will try to accommodate same-day reservations if available. 

The health and safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority. Because of Covid-19, we are implementing new procedures and guidelines so that everyone can enjoy the facility as safely as possible. You must provide your own equipment. Boxing Gloves, accessories, and public lockers are not available at this time. No day passes/Drop-ins will be permitted. To reserve your workout session please click here.
