Explore a variety of STEM and aviation-themed sciences with a short lesson and hands-on activity. Ideal for learners ages 8-12. THIS MONTH: Young explorers will uncover the mysteries of prehistoric skies, discovering fascinating facts about flying dinosaurs. Participants will then craft their own dinosaur fossils. Prepare for a journey where learning about dinosaurs takes flight! Registration is not required and drop-ins are welcome.

Teenfest

Join us for Teenfest, an exciting kickoff to the Safe Summer campaign by the M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation! This event features live performances, swimming, free food, dancing, basketball, and more. Teenfest marks the start of our late-night summer recreation program, offering extended community center hours for teens and young adults who are Prince George’s County residents. Safe Summer runs from June 24 to August 17.

This is a teen-centered event. There will be a designated area for parents, guardians, and families interested in dropping off and picking up their child, but they will not be granted full access to the event. Park Police and Department staff will be present to chaperone the event.
Transportation will be available from various M-NCPPC Community Centers. Please note: registration and a signed permission slip are required to ride the bus. Walk-ups will need valid photo identification. Only clear bags will be allowed in the Splash Park.

Bring your lawn chair, a picnic, and enjoy the Bard under the stars.
