Learn to Skate Group Lessons
Herbert Wells Ice Rink offers group lessons for children as young as 1 year of age through adults. Classes are offered for all ages and levels from November – March. The learn-to-skate program is a recreational skating program sanctioned through the Ice Sports Industry (ISI). Highlights of our lesson program are:
- Encourages individuals to skate for FUN and enjoyment!
- After mastering the basics, you can advance to higher figure skating levels.
- Supports success by offering easily attainable testing levels for all ages and abilities.
- Offers opportunities for skaters to participate in our yearly ice show

Figure Skating Team
This competitive team is an Ice Sports Industry (ISI) Skating Team that provides opportunities for skaters to participate in exhibitions, shows, and in local and district competitions. Highlights of our Figure Skating Team are:
- The team has a Youth and Adult ISI, Synchronized Skating Teams and a Production Team.
- The team has an Open Juvenile Synchronized Skating Team that competes in both US Figure Skating (USFS) and ISI Competitions.
- These teams compete in local and national competitions throughout the season.
- The team also has over 25 individual team members who compete in competitions at various levels.
The Herbert Wells Ice Rink skaters compete and have earned recognition in local, district and National ISI competitions.
