The Department of Parks and Recreation offers many opportunities to learn and play the game of football. Introduce your child to the game, play the game in one of our recreational leagues or attend a fun-filled fundamentals clinic.
Clinics
Flag Football Fundamentals
Are you ready for some football? Join us in this flag football series where co-ed participants will receive fundamental instruction in numerous offensive and defensive positions, all while learning the rules and techniques of the flag game (no helmets, pads, etc.). Boys and girls will be able to enhance their overall football ability and understand the sport in a fun and safe environment.

Leagues
Flag Football League
Girls and boys of all skill levels are eligible to participate in this non-contact league, which promotes a competitive and confidence-building football experience.
The seven-game season (plus playoffs) utilizes a 6 v 6 format on 25-30-yard-wide by 50-yard-long fields. Participants in the following grade divisions will play on community center teams located throughout the County: K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-8th.
Games are traditionally played on Friday nights & Sunday afternoons at Woodmore Towne Center Turf Field, Walker Mill Regional Park, and other locations throughout the County. This league will return Fall 2023.
Pee-Wee Fall Flag Football
Games are played on Sundays during the fall months. Kids will learn football skills and meet friends on the field in this fun, recreational league for youth ages 3-4.
